Matt & Vicky Dunn

We are the Associate Pastors at HRock Church, and together we have a passion to see people discipled, healed up and equipped, ready to fulfill God’s purposes in their lives. Together we oversee the discipleship classes and small group network at HRock, as well as heading up our Guest Services team that welcomes people to our church and helps them get connected into the community here. We are also involved in the Sozo ministry.

Personal and Educational Background

We both became Christians in our teens and met at Newcastle University in England (where we both grew up and learned to talk funny!). We have been married since 1995. Vicky has a medical degree and was a partner in a medical practice in the UK before we moved to SoCal in 2010. Matt got his first Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and worked for a firm of Consulting Engineers for 15 years before getting his Master’s Degree in Theology from Fuller Seminary in 2012. We spent nearly 20 years in lay leadership roles in a Charismatic Baptist church in the north of England, before we were ordained at HRock in 2012, when we joined the pastoral team here.

Our Family

We have two wonderful teenage sons who seem to spend lots of time eating, playing sports, being musical, asking for rides and training us in how to use technology properly! We would like to learn to scuba dive as a family! We never stop learning how to parent, and we keep our marriage and family a priority. We also share a passion to see strong marriages and families built up in the Lord.

Interests & Favorites

Vicky loves to run, and Matt likes to golf. We both like to laugh whenever possible, especially with friends and family. We are grateful for Skype and FaceTime, which help us stay in touch with friends and family around the world, and we’d like to visit Hawaii someday so that we can make sure they work from there, too!
